Kathryn Zerello graduated Summa Cum Laude from the state University of New York at Oneonta with Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice. She graduated Cum Laude, earning her Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. She is a member of the Dutchess County Bar Association and a resident of Dutchess County.
After graduating from law school, she was a public defender in Monroe County where she represented indigent defendants who had matters pending in town, village and city criminal courts. There she zealously represented those accused of crimes to ensure that their constitutional right to counsel was protected.
After meeting and marrying her husband she returned to the Hudson Valley, where she was raised, to start a family. Upon her return to the Hudson Valley, she worked as an attorney where she represented banks in foreclosure matters before returning to the not-for-profit sector. She subsequently worked as a staff attorney at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley where she provided free, high quality legal counsel in civil matters where basic human rights were at stake for low-income individuals and families. There she focused her practice on foreclosure defense and bankruptcy matters.
Most recently, Kathryn has turned her practice toward estate planning where she practices in the areas of wills, trusts and estates, and probate and estate administration. Kathryn joined the Law Office of Rachel Flanagan Frost, P.C. where she takes a client centered approach to estate planning. She knows there is no one size fits all estate plan, and she takes the time to listen to her clients while providing them with different options to meet their distinct needs
